Wow, a baby

Penny here.  I’ve got to tell you something exciting that happened today. 

After school, I went to the church where Mom works.  Well, when I walked into the sanctuary, I heard a baby crying.  I thought maybe my baby brother was in there.  I went inside and looked around, calling out his name.  Well, he didn’t answer me.

Do you know what I found?  I found a baby.  In a laundry basket.  She had a note on her.  Take care of my Kelly.  Well, I raced out of the sanctuary, yelling out my mom’s name.  She came out of her office and listened to me.  We raced to the baby’s side.  Mom found the note.  The pastor followed us.  Of course I called Dad and told him what happened.

You should’ve seen all the folks who came to the church.  It looked like a Sunday morning service.  Finally, after a lot of talking, mom got to talk the baby home. 

I heard mom and dad talking about what to do.  I vote for keeping her.  It would be 2 girls against one boy.
